Why we built this

Every software company’s marketing page says the same thing: “The #1 platform for [vague category].” Cool. But which one should you actually use?

SaaSPickr exists because we got tired of reading reviews that were obviously written by someone who never opened the product. We test every tool we write about. We pay for the plans ourselves when free trials aren’t enough. And we tell you the stuff the sales page won’t — like when a tool is genuinely overkill for what you need.

How we make money

Transparency matters. Some of our links are affiliate links, which means we earn a small commission if you sign up through them. This costs you nothing extra. It’s how we keep the site running without ads, paywalls, or sponsored posts.

Our editorial rule: We never recommend a tool because of its affiliate program. If the commission is great but the product is mid, we’ll say so. Our reputation matters more than any single payout.

How we review tools

Every review follows the same process:

  1. We sign up and use the tool — usually for at least a week with a real workflow
  2. We document what works and what doesn’t — screenshots, real examples
  3. We compare pricing honestly — including the stuff buried in the FAQ
  4. We update posts — software changes fast, and we revisit reviews when major updates ship
